How to know your tire size

With a little explanation it's easy to understand what all of the letters and numbers mean on your tire's sidewall. The numbers are indicators of the size, type, and performance of the tire.

To find your tyre size you need to look at the side of your tyre to find the 3 seperated numbers which are written in the same order just like the image above. 205/55R16

First Number Tire Width:
Tire width displayed as the first three-digit number on a tire.
For instance, in above image size is P205/55 R16, the width is 205 millimeters.

Second Number Tire Profile:
Profile ratio displayed as the two-digit number after the slash mark on a tire.
Ratio of height to width (profile ratio)
For example, in a size P205/55 R16, the 55 means that the height is equal to 55% of the tire's width. The bigger the profile ratio, the bigger the tire's sidewall will be.

Third number Tire Rim:
The tire rim tells us the size of the wheel that the tire is intended to fit. A size P205/55 R16 is made for a wheel with a 16 rim.
